This Privacy Policy is issued by SpotTab (ABN 20 908 290 229) ("SpotTab", "we", "us", or "our"). It describes how we collect, use, process, and protect your information when you browse digital menus or place orders via the SpotTab platform or associated subdomains (collectively, the "Platform").

We reserve the right to update, modify, or amend this Privacy Policy at any time from time to time without prior individual notice. All updates will be published directly to this page with an updated "Last Updated" date and become effective immediately. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically to stay informed of our data practices. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes are posted signifies your acknowledgment and acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

1. Essential Browser Storage

To support functional performance and secure order routing, the Platform utilizes essential browser storage utilities, caching mechanisms, and temporary session parameters strictly required to load, authenticate, and transmit software actions. Because these caching and session utilities are strictly necessary for the core functional operations of the software, they are non-optional and cannot be disabled.

2. Minimal Data Collection

When you browse a digital menu or place an order via the Platform, we collect only the minimal data strictly required to facilitate the transmission of your order to the Merchant.

This consists of:

  • Identifying Information: A first name and/or table number that you voluntarily provide, used solely by the Merchant's service staff to identify and deliver your order to your physical location.
  • Order Details: The list of items chosen, cart configuration, and order status, needed purely for routing requests to the Merchant's kitchen or queue.
  • Temporary Cart Identifiers: Standard browser storage or session cookies used solely to maintain active cart state and connectivity as you browse the menu.

3. Data Usage & Processing

Your information is used strictly to provide and maintain the digital menu utility. SpotTab does not build permanent tracking profiles, log consumer search habits across third-party websites, or retain consumer information beyond the operational needs of order delivery.

All order transmission is transient and is provided as a software convenience to you and the Merchant.

4. Decoupled Financial Privacy

All financial transactions and payments are routed directly to secure, PCI-compliant third-party processing partners (such as Stripe and Square) selected by the Merchant. SpotTab does not ingest, hold, see, or store full credit card details, CVV codes, or bank account credentials. Payment security and transaction compliance are strictly governed by the payment processor's own terms and privacy practices.

5. No Marketing Involvement & Minimal Sharing

We do not sell, rent, lease, or distribute Guest names, order details, or identifiers to third-party marketing brokers or data aggregation firms. Information is shared strictly with the Merchant with whom you are placing an order. We may utilize aggregated, completely non-identifying logs to monitor and optimize Platform stability and security.

6. Secure Infrastructure & Disclosures

We utilize reputable third-party cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks, secure payment processing gateways, software logging tools, and analytics systems to host, route, monitor, and support Platform operations. Data may be processed on secure global servers as part of standard cloud operations. SpotTab does not sell, rent, or lease personal data, business profiles, or guest ordering histories to any third party under any circumstances.
