It is the Merchant's responsibility to review this policy periodically to stay informed of our business credential and data practices. 1. Essential Browser Storage

To support functional performance and secure order routing, the Platform utilizes essential browser storage utilities, caching mechanisms, and temporary session parameters strictly required to load, authenticate, and transmit software actions. Because these caching and session utilities are strictly necessary for the core functional operations of the software, they are non-optional and cannot be disabled.

2. Data Collection

SpotTab collects and processes basic information necessary to provide and manage our digital menu software services across the Platform.

  • Merchant Account Credentials: Basic name, email address, and physical business details provided during registration.
  • Menu & Store Layout: Descriptions, pricing, categories, allergen tags, and configurations uploaded by you to serve your guests.
  • Technical Logs: Minimal server logs, IP metadata, and technical browser headers automatically collected to monitor network stability, prevent malicious activity, and ensure compliance with platform usage.

3. Data Usage & Analytics

Merchant and configuration data is processed exclusively to maintain and optimize the Platform.

  • Software Operations: Ensuring digital menus display correctly to guests and order notifications route to your dashboard.
  • System Security: We utilize generalized third-party logging and diagnostic systems to verify service uptime and trace platform errors.
  • Performance Improvement: We may analyze aggregated, non-identifiable usage stats to improve user interfaces and software performance.

4. Third-Party Integrations

We share specific, limited data with essential third-party service providers to execute core software functions:

  • Financial Partners (Stripe & Square): Subscription billing and merchant checkout features are handled entirely by secure payment processing gateways (such as Stripe and Square). Financial data, payment tokens, and account distribution details are collected directly by these processing providers, and SpotTab is entirely decoupled from handling or storing sensitive financial credentials.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Standard web hosting, network firewalls, and logging utilities.

5. Data Retention & Security

We employ standard administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect operational details against unauthorized access. We retain account metadata for as long as your subscription is active, or as required under general operational guidelines.

6. Secure Infrastructure & Disclosures

We utilize reputable third-party cloud infrastructure, content delivery networks, secure payment processing gateways, software logging tools, and analytics systems to host, route, monitor, and support Platform operations. Data may be processed on secure global servers as part of standard cloud operations. SpotTab does not sell, rent, or lease personal data, business profiles, or guest ordering histories to any third party under any circumstances.
